Thyme White Essential Oil – Thymus vulgaris – (Lamiaceae) – is steam distilled from its leaves and flowers of the small aromatic bush.
Thyme White Essential Oil is readily available to assist as an antibacterial. Use it topically blended with a carrier oil in treating minor wounds.
White Thyme is also a popular oil to use as an expectorant when congested.

Known to blend well with Bergamot, citrus oils and Lavender, White Thyme oil can be a useful addition to your essential oil collection.
White Thyme essential oil is well suited for use in your diffuser or vaporise in a candle oil burner as the aroma when humidified will create a soft calming effect.
There are references to therapeutic properties of Thyme both internally and externally though our recommendation is not to ingest this oil.

White Thyme oil helps ease the symptoms of bronchitis, cough, colds, respiratory problems, and general aches and pains and known to reduce scarring on the skin if applied with a carrier oil though needs to be further researched.
White Thyme has been known to reduce infestation of insects on the body or in clothing so you may like to put a few drops of the oil on a tissue and leave in the drawers or cupboards. You will need to refresh every 2-3 days as essential oils evaporate.
Not recommended to use during pregnancy. Store your Thyme in a cool dry place below 30°and keep out of the reach of children, not to be taken.
