Mandarin Oil – Citrus reticulata – is 100% pure, Cold Pressed from the skin of the sweet mandarin fruit. This oil is only available in Australia in reasonably small quantities as most comes from Brazil de-waxed.
Use Mandarin Oil with a carrier oil like Rosehip or Sweet Almond and include WA Sandalwood essential oil and Sandalwood Nut Oil to make a smooth and soothing massage oil for the body. Or blend with eucalyptus, to add a sweet and lightly fruity fragrance to your creams, handmade soaps or oils.
Our Mandarin Oil is certified as food grade so can be included in raw food or cooked. We do not advise you place drops in cold water and drink as you will be swallowing pure oil which can be harmful over time if taken often and in high dosages.
Mandarin oil makes a gentle, sweet aroma for diffusing especially with lemon and grapefruit as a Fruity Diffusing Cocktail for a refreshing lift or added for a unique ‘Fruit Salad’ diffusion.
Like many citrus oils, Mandarin essential oil has a shorter shelf life when used without a natural preservative like sandalwood oil, rosemary. Note the use-by date on the bottle or keep only for 12-18 months at the most. If left citrus oils can lose their potency.
Store your Mandarin essential oil in a cool area away from direct light and out of the reach of children. If pregnant seek advice from your Aromatherapist before using. As it is a citrus, this oil is photo toxic so do not apply to the skin prior to entering a solarium or if you are in the sun for long periods.
Contains 0.1% w/w BHA antioxidant which is an Australian accepted food preservative. This enables your Mandarin oil to remain stable as citrus oils have a short life.
