Introducing our unique collection of Australian essential oils, grown and processed in every state and territory of Australia – 100% pure and natural.
On a global scale, Australia’s essential oils market is relatively small, with its most recognised oils being Eucalyptus and Tea Tree. Before European settlement, Indigenous Australians used native plants for beverages, medicines and food, benefitting from the oils as steam distillation was not an option. In the early 19th century Australian essential oils became commercial. Australia has the capacity from its diverse soil types and climates to further develop oils from many species both indigenous and introduced, spreading the options and risks for a growing industryAs well as essential oils having spiritual and medicinal properties, the plants from which the oil is extracted are a sustainable use of rural land, benefitting the environment. For example, with every bottle of West Australian (WA) grown Eucalyptus kochii (E. Borealis), you are contributing to a significant environmental challenge in the WA northern wheatbelt. (see the E. kochii mallee story on this site)
Australian essential oils are perfect for vaporisers, air fresheners, skin and body care, known anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory applications, de-congestants, expectorants and providing comfort for tension, stress, depression, grieving and insomnia, substituting DEET in insect repellents and chemicals in cleaning agents.
Heritage Oils works with experienced growers and distillers across Australia to deliver a broad spectrum of Australian essential oils to the market. Through this close relationship we ensure our oils are managed and processed sustainably to provide you with the highest quality. Our Team has over 30 years experience in the development and marketing of essential oils, farm forestry and community engagement.
Essential oils have become the ‘new rage’ household commodity with a plethora of information available on how to use them. Our policy is to follow the strategies of the International Association of Aromatic Medicine and Aromatherapy www.iaama.org.au to ensure efficacy and safe use of the oils we retail. You are invited to read the IAAMA Fact Sheets Click here.
Our oils come with a Gas Chromatography (GC) on request. GCs indicate purity and show the percentage of plant compounds/chemicals so you can calculate measures for formulas appropriately. If you require an SDS for each oil, (which is a regulation if you are using them in retirement villages for ageing clients), we can supply.
Essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with the upmost care. Ours have not been tested on animals. Apart from the citrus and fruit oils which come with a certificate of consumption, our oils are not for ingestion.
We export world wide and distribute oils across Australia. Our prices are set to ensure you get the best value, as you will learn there is much variance in prices of essential oils. If you require our oils in bulk please contact email@example.com to discuss your order and receive a wholesale quote.
